Programs

This exciting program is designed to be a fun and informative introduction to the sport of Track and Field. It is appropriate for both new and seasoned athletes. Track & Field is a variety of different athletic competitions that take place on an athletic track. The track events are races that include sprints, hurdles, relays and longer runs. The field events include the high jump, long jump, shot put, javelin and discus. We’ll focus on form, technique, safety and most importantly FUN! Running, jumping and throwing are fundamental skills for young athletes. Our program can help strengthen those skills for other sports and/or spark a new interest in the sport of Track and Field. The season will culminate in a full track meet with our Farmington program on SATURDAY June 7, location TBD. Instructor: Andrew Miller & MPOWER Running Instructor.
